Settlement
I want to as flexibly as possible adopt to my Client’s needs, so I propose the following methods of payment:
Hourly settlement – the most popular method of settlement with the Law Office. In this method the Client pays for the real time of lawyer’s work based on the hourly rate agreed in advance. In this method it is possible to decide upon different hourly rates for the substantive works and different for technical actions (e.g. completing of attachments to the pleading, expedition of letters). In extensive projects, in which lawyers of different ranks are engaged (lawyer – legal advisor trainee – legal advisor) it is possible to make the hourly rate contingent upon the person engaged. A working time is calculated with the accuracy of each 6 minutes commenced and the detailed specification of working time is attached to the invoice. This settlement applies to entrepreneurs and natural persons.
Lump sum – this method is beneficial to the Clients who wants to know in advance the amount of remuneration, yet applies only to the cases where it is possible to estimate the time in advance. For example, this method pays off if you order drafting an agreement or register a company. This settlement applies to entrepreneurs and natural persons.
Mixed settlement (a lump sum with the limit of hours) – I propose this method mostly to entrepreneurs. In this system we decide in advance a limit of hours against the lump sum (prefers in case of a constant services when, based on a previous months, the needs for legal services may be more or less defined) and hour rate for works exceeding the limit. The Client is informed if another order exceeds the agreed limit of hours. This limit may be decided differently in different months.
It is also possible to agree with the Client for a minimal rate for the case plus the „success fee”.
Details on the cooperation terms and proposed settlement we decide individually with the Client. I will propose them during a meeting or in response to an offer inquiry.
